A great friend and client ordered this Turbo S new from Barrier Porsche in Bellevue, Washington way back in 2011. Upon its arrival, pictures of the 911 Sport Classic started popping up and he decided we’d make a game plan to build him a “poor man’s” Sport Classic.
We helped acquire the ducktail rear spoiler when we found out the innards didn’t fit a Turbo. After some head scratching and a few phone calls, another one with the proper innards showed up. While this car had its lower body cladding painted exterior color from the factory a few odds and ends stuck out in plain black plastic (side scoop innards) so we took them off and painted them too! The center lug wheels and tires were removed, new brake rotors were ordered and factory Sport Classic “Fuchs” style wheels installed.
One subtle design clue the sport classic had was the headlights with a black trim instead of silver so those were ordered and installed. We are offering this car from its only owner and it has only covered 6,100 miles, it is completely serviced and ready to move on to its next caretaker. The original tires, wheels, and deck lid are of course included in the sale.
